I've grown a dwarf sunflower (Sunspot) for the first time this year. Didn't have much success. One flower head that sort of opened with not many petals around it. But it has produced seeds. I did see the bees were getting into the flower head to pollinate it. It died off pretty quickly, and it's dried out so I've taken the seeds out, and I've been trying to find out if I sow them next year whether I'll get the same sunflower. From what I've read it seems sunflowers might cross-pollinate. So if my dwarf crossed with a standard size sunflower, what do you reckon I'll get? Has anyone had a completely different sunflower come up from saved seed?

Here's my Single Giant, which I had to chop up for compost today. The flower head was around 20 inches diameter, and broke off - I think it was just too heavy for its body.
