What to put in window boxes.

I have 3 boxes under my kitchen window but Im not sure what to put in them. The area probably only gets sun until mid morning although it is in an alleyway at the side of house so is sheltered.
The middle one has alpine strawberries which seem pretty happy, but what to put either side?? I like things that are evergreen and jungly looking if possible!
Any ideas??
