    Took a few cuttings from a small hedge at my parents and assumed it was a type of buxus http://i.imgur.com/NQdlqCr.jpg

    Might i suggest........Lonicera nitida, though can't be sure without a better close up.

    Its used commonly in amenity areas as, like a buxus, it copes well with being hacked back once a year. However it does flower and produces nice purple berries, so long as it isn't cut back.

      It does look like box - the newer growth is generally a lighter green than the more mature glossier leaves.
