After losing my Grandad a few months back we have started sorting out the house and the garden. There are plenty of Rose bushes in both gardens. I don't want them throw out as the house will be going up for sale soon. As my Grandmam and Grandad loved the garden it would be such a shame for them all to rip up and bin so now I can have the rose bushes. The rose bushes have been in the gardens for over 40 years!!
I would like to know the very best way to give them a change on my plot. After upsetting them by moving them. Im planning on moving them at the end of this months as the house will be going up for sale mid septerber.
I have started sorting out a bed for them which is 12ft x 3 I think. My soil is clay so I have added manuare over the time I have had the plot. Now would it be best to add more manuare? How about sharpe sand to improve drainage?? The bed is on a slope at the front of the plot. My friend is coming to help moving them as I would like to make sure we get as much roots as possable. She knows what she doing unlike me lol!!
Many thanks
