    I need a recommendation please, I don't 'do' roses but my mum has asked for a highly scented half standard rose......any thoughts please

    Zepherin Drouhaine has a gorgeous scent and is thornless as an added bonus. Not sure about half standard.

      I think that one is a climber/rambler Shirl but there are a few scented ones here:

            I adore Roseraie de l'haye. Very spikey but smells good enough to eat. It's a bushy one, though.
