  • Primroses and Pansies

    Hi
I bought some aldi mini plug plants about a month ago and they have been growing on happily in the greenhouse. They were sold as Autumn bedding. The Panises are starting to flower and the primroses and polyanthus are a nice size now (3 - 4 inches diameter).
With the weather getting colder all the time I'm not sure what to do. Should I plant them outside in the beds or keep them in pots in the greenhouse over winter and plant them out early next Spring?

    Thanks for any advise

You need to harden them off really so that they can cope with the extremes of winter. They'll not do that much over winter but should come into their own again in spring as things start to warm up again.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Thanks Alison. I just wasn't sure if they'd survive at all. I'll start to toughen them up a bit.
