  • What are these?

I took some pictures of some flowers growing in the garden yesterday. Can anyone tell me what they are called?

I got 5 pots of these cheap in the garden centre but there was no name on them! sorry for the blurry picture. one of it's friends has an orange flower, the others haven't bloomed yet.

and this is a tree obviously lol. it has another little plant things growing out of the pot as well. I think this is one of those ones that grow really big and the flowers are deadly posionous but I can't remember the name.

these are some nice blue flowers, but I have no idea what they are! quite unusual looking I think.

these are some nice little mauve flowers that didn't die of in the winter which I thought was weird! I think the pink one is a geranium.

        Hi,
        (a) nasturtium
        (b) laburnum
        (c) related to cornflower but i can't remember name (spreads readily and i have some in my own garden)
        (d) again can't remember name but it is sold as a bedding plants in garden centres.
Hope this is some help. If i can find out the proper names of last two i will post later.
        regards

          Nasturtium
          Laburnum
          Centaurea montana
Pelargonium friend looks like Bacopia or more likely if it stayed alive over winter, Felicia bergeriana the so called Kingfisher Daisy.

            Thanks!
Is it true that you can eat Nasturtiums?

Yes, both the leaves and the flowers. We 've been eating leaves in salads for a few weeks now. None have flowered yet (Maybe they feel got-at!)

And you can pickle nasturtium seeds like capers if you want. - Or so I'm told. Never tried it. Mine didn't make it that far and got dug up before I could retrieve the seeds for any purpose.
