Hyacinths

Hello. Can anyone tell me what to do with my hyacinths after they flower? I've had some indoors that I bought at tesco and flowering is now over. I've read that you plant them out but do I literally bung them in the ground and they'll grow next year in the garden?

That's what I used to do with mine.
What you will find though is that the flowers will, over the years,become much smaller and look more like bluebells with chunky leaves.
Certainly worth planting them out!

Yes, exactly that.

You can't force them indoors again, so it's plant in the garden or compost them. I have hyacinths now starting to bloom, in fact the oldest clump (2008) needs to be divided up, it's got so big

Friend gave me one, it flowered indoors last October, put it outside, it has flowered again now, 2 flowers, lovely.
