flowers for a cold wall?

I've got a lumpy bumpy wall in the front yard I'm wanting it covered in pretty flowers for me to look at when I'm in the kitchen, the only problem is I cant drill into the wall, I could prob put some little nails in there for a trellis or something?

I would like some flowers I could plant now so I have something to look at this year, if possible that is.

The wall is cold and in shade 90% of the day, does anyone have any ideas??
