  • Lavender cuttings

Hi guys I took some lavender cuttings about 3weeks ago, when should I pot them up? I have given them a gentle tug and they are quite firmly fixed.

When you see evidence of growth. Or roots out of the bottom of the pot they're in now.

I would be very surprised if they are ready until about 2 months out. I would wait for evidence of roots at bottom of pot

          This ^^^

I would've said minimum of 6 weeks with bottom heat for them to root and then another few months before they need potting on.....it might even be next spring before you can pot them, depending on the size of the existing pot they're in.

I've planted about 8 around the edges of a 6 inch pot, will the roots not all be tangled up if I leave them till they come out the bottom?
