Does anyone know when the right time to sow passiflora caerulea?

Ive bought some seeds after seeing them on the chelsea flower show but Im wondering if its to late to sow them.

Are they ok to stay out over winter? It says to over winter indoors but is that just for the first year?

    Thanks guys
    Jen

They are pretty hardy - mine is against a SE facing wall (admittedly on the south coast) and has sailed through the last few winters. A decent cold snap messes the leaves and they need a good trim in early Spring but they reshoot big time! Be warned that healthy ones can grow a lot in one year, and will throw up suckers a fair way from the parent.

It was about the only thing growing in the garden when we moved here. Soon got rid of them and the leylandi hedge.
