Isn't that odd, you're much further south, maybe it is just the variety of daffodil but I thought you'd be out and blooming by now. Just look at it this way, by the time mine wilt yours will be coming into their own.Best wishes

I have some daffs come up in the middle of my veg plot, I haven't the heart to move them yet because we have waited so long for spring. They are further down than I have got too yet so I don't need the space. When they die back I will have to move them though. Bless!

The bed in question is raised and south facing (the daffs in question are Mount Hood I think), noted today that my double headers are coming up but those outside against a wall and get sun only from the west late on are yet to open bar tete a tete.Best wishes

Our daffs are really late too. Some Easters there are none left to decorate the house with and so far I've only managed to pick a couple of bunches (planted 1000 bulbs of various varieties). Remember- Easter is very late this year too! One year the children had to pick dandilions for the table!!! We really must be at least a month behind."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... I've got quite a few daffs out now, I think we've got the better of the north/south divide this year andrewo. The February gold daffs have only come out in the last week or so which is quite late & I have lots of dwarf & larger ones all in flower.Into every life a little rain must fall.

Still none out in my garden. They're trying though, and the heads are swelling and turning yellowy. There are lots of them though, so I'm looking froward to when they all burst open, and I'm going to cut a load and bring them indoors to cheer me up. Currently there is sleet and snow battering the windows at 35mph.

Most of my daffs are fading now except a couple of pots. I have been dead heading them since last week.
Moving them all under the balcony now to make way for my pots of lilys.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
