  • What shrubs/flowers

    Hi all

I started the growing year using only my garden (as that was all I had) and have watched (and possibly shouted at) the dog while she runs through my largest bed for no apparent reason which tramples everything. From a bed roughly 12x3 feet I have a few peas 1 blueberry plant 2 raspberry canes and a cranberry plant which is just about hanging in there.
I now have an allotment so anything that survives until autumn will be moved there. Thing is I spent so long digging the heavy clay and making the ground of a nice texture it seems such a shame to just grass it all again. I was thinking about putting some flower shrubs in there as I'm hoping that as they will be bigger than fruit/veg they might hopefully survive. Trouble is I don't want anything that gets huge

Don't really know anything about flowers so any suggestions would be great

    Thanks

Which way does your border face? What sort of size or height are you after? What colours do you like?

It gets sun from about lunch time right to the end of the day. No higher than about 4 foot but would rather not have big round bushes so if they were tall I'd rather have something shorter in front of them. I like all colours and my partner likes things that don't look dead in the winter.

Think that was all your questions (my memory is terrible!)

The possibilities are endless. I'll have a think but I need to go to bed now!

I'd be tempted to have a couple of Fushia bushes as I love Fushia and have the rest annuals. You can change it every year then.
