  • Mildew on pulmonaria

I bought a healthy pulmonaria this spring but after flowering it has become covered in mildew on the leaves. I have cut off the worst and let fresh, new ones grow through but the same has happened. I don't keep them in a damp, crowded area. On the contrary, it is in a sunny part of the garden. I did spray the leaves with diluted milk but it hasn't got rid of it.

Any organic ways of stopping this please ?

remove all affected leaves and water well , it should regenerate quickly .Mildew is caused by dry conditions ,not wet

Pulmonaria is very prone to mildew. If I remember to, I start watering the leaves of mine at the beginning of May with dilute seaweed solution once a week through the summer. When I have no seaweed solution I use diluted milk. That seems to keep it clear. And as Lynda says, keep it well watered. Kept like this, it stays healthy and does spread a lot too.

      Endless wonder.
