I want to sow some Sarah Raven wild flower seeds. The packet says August/Sept but as I'm in Sussex I think I'll be ok. I was going to just broadcast them very sparingly (as Monty suggests) but then cover the small area with porous weed suppressent for winter as a lot of dandelions etc appear if I don't regularly weed it. Lifting it next year when the weather starts to warm up. Does anyone have an advice or do you think that's ok. Does anyone think the summer sowing is preferable?

There's no point at all sowing them now if you're not letting them see the daylight until spring. All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
