Yellow pansies, kept seed and howto

Normally a veg grower so in foreign territory here !!

We were sat out side a pub drinking beer in the sunshine!
On the table was a pot of small yellow pansies or were they violas, delightful what ever.
There were a couple of seed pods, one actually open, I popped them into my glasses tube/case.

So what/when should I use them, I have a greenhouse.
Can I sow them now in an unheated GH ?
Will they come true ?
When will they flower ?

I would hedge my bets and sow half of them now and half of them in spring.

If they all come up, the ones sown now should flower in late spring, the rest in summer.

If they are the tiny yellow violas for bedding, and there were no other violas nearby, they are likely to come true. But they do have lax morals. Fortunately the offspring of such chance encounters

Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of a well drained compost and put a bit of vermiculte over the top to keep moisture in but also let light in. Keep them in the cold greenhouse over winter, prick out into modules when big enough.

Mine fell on the ground under the parent plant. I didn't notice until the next year when they all grew - all by themselves the clever things😊 I love it when plants just do their own thing 😊

OK will split 50 50.
There were other pots off different colours on other tables, so it's likley a bit of cross hanky panky has taken place.
Will wait to see.

Popped into the same pub for a quick refreshment.
Nice day so sat out.
There they were again, lots of seed pods this time.
Fortunately I "just" happened to have an empty TicTac container. Ideal for the job.
Last time I used my plastic glasses case/tube.
