    It's not just a danger, it's virtually guaranteed.

    I know it's so, so tempting to sow things early in the year, but if you don't have the optimum conditions of a heated greenhouse (and that's what is assumed when you're guided to sow tenders in Feb/March)

    Lack of light is going to make the seedlings thin, weak, tall and spindly. They need lots and lots of daylight, light which just isn't available on a windowsill in winter.
    I tell you this not to rain on your parade, but so that you don't get too disheartened when your seedlings fail.

    Tender seeds will do well if you sow them in April/May.

      I'm only going off what the back of the seeds says the Geraniums do say to sown from Jan to March.

      I am able to heat the greenhouse with a paraffin greenhouse heater but didn't think it was worth it for just a few seeds.
