I agree with valleyman....both flowers and leaves of nasturtiams are delicious in salads and sarnies and the fresh seeds make an excellent addition to picallili.
chive flowers are tasty, pretty and plentiful.
For desserts,
Borage flowers, particularly when sugared, are just divine.
Lavender, of course, and rose petals.
Courgette flowers, (also pumpkin and squash) are fab. My lot can't get enough of them. We dip them in egg, then flour and fry then, my mother in law was Greek and they go crazy for them in Cyprus. The kids dont actually like courgettes though.... Borage flowers are cucumber-y. We put calendula in salads and nasturtiums. Chive flowers are lovely too.
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...
I'm an official nutter - an official 'cropper' of a nutter! I am sooooo pleased to be a cropper! Hurrah!
