If you do decide to move it, take some cuttings first. They will root easily and then you can start again if the move doesn't go according to plan.

It's been growing in the same spot for about 5 years. It's approximately 4ft tall as I cut it back every year

Well I attempted to move my butterfly yesterday. Result...........failed. I snapped one fork handle. After diging down 18 inches the trunk was still 10 inches round.

Just been reading up on them...the biggest ones often need to be injected with industrial strength glyphosate- like the invasive rhododendrons which are being cleared in the countryside.
