  • To late for Sweet Peas and Gladioli bulbs

Have I left it too late to sown more sweet pea seeds? I'm a little worried as mine have started to turn yellow and leaves have dried up. They are still growing new leaves tho.

I picked up a pack of gladioli bulbs have I left it to late to plant theses?

    Thanks everyone!

I would say go for the sweet peas now, they might flower a little later than already germinated ones but if anything it's nice to have them later in the year too.
I'd hold onto your current ones as mine started off yellow but a repot and feed has got them nice and green again.
Not quite sure about the bulb personally.

If you've already bought the gladioli get them planted. You have nothing to lose as they won't keep till next year.

This is a good time to plant Gladioli. If you've got a lot of them you could even hold some back to plant in two or three weeks to get a succession of flowers. I did this last year on the allotment, worked fine.

I picked mine up from poundland 25 in a pack.

I'll sow a few more sweet peas tonight.

            Thanks everyone!
