how do I grow stachy byzantina from seed?

Ive been looking on google and its saying how easy it is to grow it but there is no instructions, no times, soil type or anything really. Just zone areas but even that Im not sure about as I dunno how to work out what zone I am in (I live in the north east of England if anyone knows)

Has anyone grew these as I would love some for the shaded part of my garden, Ive been quite stuck on what to put there over the past few years and just stuck with the foxgloves and hostas but I have been buying some camelias for that area and getting some vinca minor soon. If anyone has any other ideas of what I can plant there please let me know.

You would find it easier to find someone with the plant and cadge a bit. Very easy to grow from cuttings. The stems root into the ground and you only have to rip a bit off, replant and keep it moist and it will take off.

As I understand it, they like well drained soil in full sun. I'm not sure they would be the best plant for the spot you have in mind. I've got astilbes and lysimachia in my North facing border. Dicentra is nice too, especially the white one.
