It's been chucking it down all day !
Though I'm sure it's a flower bud, been meaning to plant it for weeks, I thought it was dead and then it sprung into life so Im 80% sure it's not berries. I've trawled through a load of shrub photos last night and i still haven't got a clue.

Might this be it? The leaves are very similar. And maybe those buds will look like it when they open.

That's it I think Zelenina!
It's not a dogwood, close together they really are different. The red stuff is a cluster of flower buds ready to open. Will take a pic when it does, though as I snapped half the plant I'm not 100% it's going to live yet!
