Salina, the pot on the right looks like Cosmos. Did you plant some of them. The white flowers do look like Nicotiana.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Looks like rocket to me...just chewed something that looks just like that from my balcony.

squish a bit of leaf between your fingers and give it a smell

        (did you plant rocket?)

Now you know by now that I'm rubbish at flowers (edibles this year, pretties next year!) but the flower that you've ringed, Salina, looks to me very much like ...... damn! tip of my tongue! evening scented wotsits....night scented stock, dat's der bunny!

Did you sow any of them?

I'm with BVP on this one. The leaves and flowers look like rocket. I've got some nicotiana and the leaves look nothing like that, the rocket however is a dead ringer.

I agree, it looks like rocket. definitely not nicotiana. The flowers leave behind little seed pods that are similar to the pods on radishes.

Is rocket a member of the brassica family then, 'cause the whiteish flower looks brassica-ish to me!

Fer them as can't remember, or are reading this after a few too many - brassica = cabbage family!

                    Yes, Rocket is a brassica!

Rocket was my first thought too. Some radishes look like this when they've gone over (ask me how I know!) but the leaves are different.

yep, it must be rocket. it smells spicy and I googled rocket flowers and found some pictures of ones just like mine. I don't think I'll bother picking it though, it's all mixed up with other (non-edible plants) and besides I like the nice flowers tumbling out the pot even if they aren't the most striking ones.

Definitely NO Nictotiana in the picture. I grow loads each week for research.

Stand corrected on the Nicotinia front - can you tell I'm not really a flower type guy ?

But I bet your veg are to die for! Wish we had a local grower like you. I can't grow enough to be self sufficient and I don't like what I have to buy in the supermarket. Takes me ages 'cos I read the labels on the boxes and crates!
