Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Anyone been to the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show this year?

As a novice gardener my eyes are still on stalks after my visit yesterday (and elbows sore after being jostled through the crowds), but I'd be keen to compare notes! There are a few photos on my blog, address below, if you'd like a look.

Hi H,

WHat you have to remember is that these guys are professionals so have quite an advantage over the like of you or me ( well you anyway ) Medwyn up till this year had the use of a commercial size greenhouse with computer controlled atmosphere, Hi power grow lamps & all of the students at Bangor University to help ..... This might seem excessive but I suspect the other guys do just the same.

Bryan Goodey from Southfields Cactus Nursary has a huge house dedicated to his show plants and he has several specimens of each variety to help the job of choosing them. That said they still have to grow them and they are in the peak of perfection and as my year seems to have been shot in the foot somewhat with all the rain, I admire their efforts no end.
