  • Is it 'Sod's Law' or am I just unlucky?

    Why is it that when I divide a plant that someone wants I always end up with mine being dead or doesn't thrive aswell and the other half does. Perhaps I give the 'better-healthy' half away!!! (Hope I have posted this in the right section)

    My carrots are non too good in the next allotment very good My Japanese onions very good next allotment very poor our onions were only 10 yards apart & we bought our sets from the same place!!
    The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

        I think it is Sods Law - what I tend to do now is divide plants, put the divisions into pots and see how they go. Same with cuttings - that way if my original starts looking poorly I usually have some backup.
