SP, VC, hello girls how are your plants growing, I have just potted on some geraniums, some into three inch pots with a compost, coarse sand and slow release fertiliser, others into four inch pots with the same mix but with some 6X manure mixed in the bottom inch of the pot and covered with a layer of the mix and potted up, I have tried six pots with the mix plus 6x mixed through it, I will let you know how things go/grow.

Some of the big leafed begonias are coming into flower and looking good. They're the only ones I would buy again as the smaller ones are a bit lost in the garden! My fault for not caring for them enough
I still have some waiting to be planted out

An update for VC and SP, just to let you see how the good quality rain helps the plants

I know I said I wouldn't be tempted again - but I was - and I have been weak and ordered 108 plants for £15.99
Wonder how many begonias there'll be?
Some of the last lot of begonias survived the winter outdoors and are flowering now
I keep spotting them in places I'd forgotten I bunged them when I was desperate to get them in the ground!

Sorry VC just on this thread for the first time in a while, and yes I have some begonias from last year but not growing very well this year, the only ones doing well are the ones in my half baskets against the house wall I think the garden gets too cold some nightsLast edited by rary; 12-07-2017, 10:54 PM.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

My 108 plants arrived and they were pot-ready
Trailing & upright geraniums
Trailing begonias
Trailing petunias
Blue & white salvias
Gazanias.
Well pleased with them. I've filled 5 baskets, 2 pots and planted the salvia and gazania in the flower bed.

I did notice some of the begonias survived in a couple of the pots at the holiday cottage I work at. I also noticed a couple of weeks later some miserable s.o.b had ripped them out. I don't know why I bother!Comment
