Nasturtiums? Trailing fuchsias or geraniums? Lobelia? Petunias/surfinas. Any of the hanging basket flowers.
Even, dare I say it..........................begonias
Psssst SusieG, sell you some Bacopa. just 20p a plant
No you are not too late to sow seeds, if you get some plug plants, some of the ones VC has mentioned, you can sow nasturtium direct into the barrow, or you could buy some larger plants and take cuttings i have noticed some places selling their larger plants at reduced prices, it just makes your display later but just as good
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Mine are all over the place, rary - especially as the blackbirds seem to enjoy pulling out the begonias and hurling them across the garden. My fault for not planting them properly.
Some of the big leaved begonias look good; the salvias and verbena are NOT a blaze of colour I blame myself for getting carried away with the excitement of ordering, then being overwhelmed by all the little pluggers and not looking after them as I should have!
I'll do better next time - I've just ordered 144 more plugs!

Yours are looking good rary. Mine haven't done so well. The only things that haven't been eaten but voles or rabbits are the begonias and they just haven't grown very much.
Next year I will grow everything on a bit more in pots before planting out, and keep my fingers crossed.
SP, I took the dog for a walk earlier this evening and took these photos evidently the snails, voles and rabbits dont like these flowering plants ladies mantle in GCs for £5.00 +
geranium (cranes bill) GC £5.00 +
Achillea? seeds for £2. + a field with hundreds of plants growing in it behind my house, it also has these lovely coloured plants if you wait a bit I could send you thousands of seeds
Rary, the third one - pale pink umbels - doesn't look like Achillea, that has flatter flowerheads. It might be the common valerian, Valerian officinalis ... but it's not a plant I'm very familiar with so could be wrong.

Chrysanthemum notes page here.
That's purple loosestrife rary. Very pretty but a little invasive
A little invasive, I would put it down as very invasive
and thanks Martin, it was just looking at the leaf and flower head it put me in mind of Achillea, which I have never grown, only glanced at them in other peoples gardens
I say the same as SP unless you want o send me some to give yourself some room, I would give you a daily report on them so that you would feel connected with them.
