  • Guess that plant time

Does anyone know what this is. Unfortunately I have no clues for you. It came to me in a job lot of fruit trees.

I don't think it is. The lot it came in was described as '10 assorted fruit trees' but when I went to collect I got 11 so it could be anything

It does look familiar but can't think why. Perhaps might be easier when the leaves are fully out, and perhaps a flower or two.

It isn't a vine. It has been grafted to make a standard - it is ex-nursery stock so should be something deemed commercially viable. The leaves are only around 10-15mm and I think it is meant to lose them in the winter, however when I first got the tree it looked neglected and very dried out.

I will post more pics as and when it fills out.

            TY all

I think it's too early to tell but it really looks familiar. As a guess I'm going for peach

Are the other 10 fruit trees labelled? And if so, are you saying it doesn't look like any of them?
If you tell us what the others are at least we'll know what to eliminate...

                Endless wonder.

The bark looks a bit cherry-ish - or maybe plum
                    That doesn't help!!

None of the others were grafted as a standard. Although none of the others were labelled I know what they are (smug git ) 2 x cherry, 3 plum, 2 x nectarine, 1 x peach (I think, blossom seems to large compared to the other nectarines) and 2 x apricot. I really think this is a random shrub type plant.

VC I shall really upset you now..........that particular lot cost £10 plus buyers fees However I spent a lot more than that overall Last year I found out that a large nursery had gone into liquidation and everything was auctioned off. I know they used to supply Nottcutts GCs.

How many lots did you buy NG?
I'm happy for you (slightly envious too) but never mind that

Just 3 lots (which equated to 60 trees)
