Hi Norfolkgrey, the fluffy pink flower on the right of the photo is a thalictrum aquilegifolium - it grows pretty tall (around 4 foot) and its leaves are very similar to an aquilegia. I really like it at the back of a border, and it's a very reliable perennial which the slugs seem to avoid.
Then in the middle of the vase there's 3 knapweed flowers, which grows all round my plot (again, a quite tall plant, around 3-4 foot)
All the other pink flowers are sweet williams

I dodged the showers this afternoon to pick some more flowers at the allotment. I'm running out of places to put vases...

Is that dill in that vase?
I like the blue flowers, very nice. :-)

It's not dill, it's fennel. I grow it in the cut flower patch for its foliage.
The blue cornflowers are nice, aren't they! And so easy to grow.

Anyway, I cut them from the back garden today because I liked the delicate lilac flowers.......

I don't know this plant. The flowers look like a mallow but I haven't seen one with divided foliage like that. Maybe it's Malva alcea or Malva excisa. But whatever they are, they are lovely.

                      So NOT weeds then, Martin?
Need to be careful not to dig 'em up with the nettle, sow thistle, ivy etc etc etc .......

Susie, it's up to you whether you call it a weed or not. I see quite a few decorative "weeds" sold in garden centres for stupid prices. Personally I let decorative stuff do its thing until I need the space for something more decorative or productive!

I would join in, but all my poor flowers are battered and bruised with all this lovely weather at the moment.

I think that when plants are behaved they are proper plants it is only when they try to take over the world they are a weed

Sorry to hear yours have been battered SP

Martin where do you find all the space to grow all those flowers?

My 4th vase - cornflowers (thank you Thelma Sanders), lavender, sweet williams, achillea, chrysanth crazy daisy.
