Vase 8 although it only came through the house on its way to the village show and got 1st (yes I am smug, as the other vases entered were just as good)
Oh and TY VC for the higgledy flower site (mentioned a while ago). The scabiosa stellata- ping pong is great.

Thought my sweet peas were on the way out, but in the past week they've perked up (though the stems are shorter this time of year). Also a bit of a pick 'n mixAttached Files

My flowers seem to have had enough for this year. Just got my chrysanths to come into their own. Vase 11 is a lil' one.

It's been so mild here, there's still plenty of flowers to pick on the allotment - though I only took a couple of each as the bees are still very active.
So, in early October I've picked calendula, escholzia, cosmos, sweet pea, borage, verbena bonariensis, nemesia, nasturtium, chive, scabious, ox-eye daisy, helichrysum, phacelia, salvia, alstromeria, purple toadflax, and poppy. Comfrey, cerinthe and foxgloves were also still flowering, but the bees were too keen on them to pick.
I'll be interested to see what's still in flower by the end of the month...Attached Files
