Does anyone have any idea what this flower is?

As the title says.
Growing in 2 clumps about 1ft diameter, could be an old variety of something, quite distinctive, white.

It looks like "flowering nettle" I'm not sure if that's the "proper" name but it's really invasive in my garden and re seeds everywhere. I thought it was pretty but it gets everywhere!

I've got a variegated one which comes from next door. Fine if you want loads of ground cover but it will race you across the garden.

Question is whether to leave it or remove it as it is among some fruit trees and looks really nice and not out of place amongst the stinging nettles, wild aquilegia, lemon balm(which is springing up every where), Spanish bluebells(which I have been trying to remove for the last 2 years). Well, it keeps me busy.

Lamium album is the botanical name, just in case you ever wondered. It is quite a pretty thing, isn't it? I'm half tempted to dig up some of the clumps at the allotment and take them home. I say keep it, but maybe just keep it chopped back wherever you don't want it to go crazy.

Can you put it in a pot maybe to restrict the roots like you can with mint?
Just a thought...or does it seed everywhere too?

For me it's one of those plants that sits on the boundary between "weed" and "wild flower". I can never bring myself to pull them up until I've got something else to plant in the space.

There's quite a few in this category, like red campion, forget-me-not and foxglove.

I love foxgloves, but I've only just planted the first in my garden this year. I can't wait to have them popping up everywhere driving me crazy.
