    ~~~~~ problem (sort of..!!) solved .............. whilst DH was cutting down one of the humungously large leylandi trees today, one of the branches fell and has, as far as I can see, crushed poor Astilbe under its weight .......... oh well, it was perhaps never meant to be ...........
