Hi Bearded bloke - I have two good digital cameras but it's the hassle I want to avoid. If I use my I pad and take a photo it is there for me to upload to the forum. If I go and get the camera [does the battery need charged] and take a photo with the camera I then need to upload to PC and then post to forum from there. In other words with my I pad I don't need to leave my armchair.

Online Image Resizer & Optimizer - Crop, Resize and Compress JPEG|PNG|GIF Images for FREE

Hi Cheops. In train now. Please use this editor to resize the image a bit. Go in your browser and type the above address.

What I hope is that the edited image might display better.

If that doesn't work, and your images are still badly displaying, I ll show you how to quickly upload them and generate thumbnails. That's how we used to do it in the old days. But still many people use it.

You don't need to use an editor - there is the crop function on the ipad/iphone that takes seconds. Just view your photo in the camera roll and click edit on the top right hand if your screen. A row of function tools appear at the bottom if the screen.

Cheops, you only need to slice a tiny portion of the pic ...just a couple of mil.

I asked her to resize it with another editor because this might communicate the data better and the image might not turn tiny. It's a long shot but you never know! :-)

Scarlet thx but those last couple of photo I submitted were cropped on the crop function of the iPad but as you can see the photo appear small and poor resolution.
I'll try the editor Ryez is suggesting and submit a photo as a test.

Just to add to this... I've tried cropping with no success. I've also tried from my iphone, new ipad and old ipad - both directly and via my PC and none of them work. Whilst it may be an @pple caused issue, I don't have any problems uploading pictures from my devices to anywhere else?!

Right using the editor Ryez suggested I have resized the image from 2003x1910 pixels to 1803x1719 pixels. That is I resized it by 90 per cent.

Nope. No improvement. Bigger sigh than last time.

Oh dear me :-( till we find a solution to this I can show you how to quickly upload and display your images on the web, hopefully that might work. This way we can try to bypass the forum resizing settings. Will write a post in the evening when I get home.

                        Wait a minute!

Cheops, how do you attach your images in the forum? I go to go advanced , click the attach image icon, the little square with the tree and upload image this way.

I have a feeling you click the button with the little stapler? This attaches thumbnails! I just wonder if you uploading them as thumbnails! Just checking cause if you see VC and my posts and yours, in yours it sais attached thumbnail. Thubnails resize to small by default.

Do you use the tree icon?

Ryez, I also go to advanced and then manage attachments. However I went to advanced again and looked for the little tree and used that but as you can see the photo is still small.

I wonder would it be possible to email someone my photo and let them attach it to this forum and see what results they get?
