  • Look what I found..!

In my front (garden) jungle - I came across these two buddleja plants, white and blue and they were alive with bee and butterfly activity ....

I've a bit more work to clear a beaten path around them - brambles etc. Also next to the blue buddleja I think is a damson tree .... I can see about 3 or 4 fruits, quite high up ... Feeling the need to get stepladder out and investigate further .....!

    What a lovely surprise ........

How lovely, Susie. Wish I had room for a buddleia. Started to grow one once but it was really too big for my bijou garden. I love them, especially the yellow ones , oh, and buddleia alternifolia that has smaller flowers and almost weeping branches.

    Endless wonder.

Nice! I planted a white one earlier this year but it's disappeared - think the dog may have chewed it, she killed 2 fuchsias that way! I have a standard purple one and "black knight " which is a lovely dark purple
      Another happy Nutter...

She seems impervious to most things - chews gooseberry bushes with no ill effect!

Would you like a purple buddleia that is the bane of my life please? It started off as a little thing in my neighbour's garden, then spread THROUGH the brick wall and into mine. It spreads like mad, so I've tried to kill it off in my garden, and through everything - it still lives. And spreads. It even grows out of my freaking window sills, breaking up the concrete sills I love how good it is for bees, but I hate it for my garden

I've had my lilac colour flowers Buddleia 16 years or maybe a bit less? It hasn't spread at all,I wonder why? I cut it down to a few foot every year,I like the sound of the yellow Buddleia.
