I grew some perennials two years ago from a mixed packet of seed. I think that Verbascums are biennials so shouldn't have been in a packet of perennials.
I have a Verbascum at the allotment and the leaves have died back for the winter, thats why I'm not sure this is a mullein (verbascum) at all. It has about a metre/yard spread and appears to be keeping its leaves through the winter
The mullein at my allotment had a tall flower spike with yellow flowers and has now died.This one had multiple spikes with little pink flowers.

Well, what do ya think folks, is it a verbascum, is it a biennial and have I seen the last of it. It actually seems to be making new leaves from a central rossette.

Still not sure Thelma. The pink flowers weren't like any Phoneiceum I spotted on google images. They were multi stemmed/branched and light and airy pink.

The plant does 'wilt' a bit after a frost but the piccie was taken today and the elaves had picked up.

The flowers are wrong and the foliage is wrong on the above ^^^^

The flowers were more like VC's flax type but the leaves are big silver furry things.

Just had a thought - is it a Phlomis tuberosa/Jerusalem Sage ? I have the Yellow sort and the leaves look like that?

The flowers look like Lychnis coronaria and they come in many shades of white & pink. The leaves on your plant look too big but............could you have 2 plants growing in that clump?

they also come by the name rose campion. They self seed freely.

There's deffo only one plant VC............if you have loook at my frst, and latest photo, you can see that.

Maybe next year when it flowers again hopefully I will get a better piccie.

The bed where its at will eventaually become my silver/pink /purple bed!

I second VC's suggestion. I have a ton of these in the garden, the flowers are a deep pink, almost magenta - lovely.
