I grew some perennials two years ago from a mixed packet of seed. I think that Verbascums are biennials so shouldn't have been in a packet of perennials.
I have a Verbascum at the allotment and the leaves have died back for the winter, thats why I'm not sure this is a mullein (verbascum) at all. It has about a metre/yard spread and appears to be keeping its leaves through the winter
The mullein at my allotment had a tall flower spike with yellow flowers and has now died. This one had multiple spikes with little pink flowers.
Well, what do ya think folks, is it a verbascum, is it a biennial and have I seen the last of it. It actually seems to be making new leaves from a central rossette.
