Lilies of some sort. Oriental lilies are very fragrant, Asiatic don't smell but yours don't seem quite right in my eyes for either of those.

Hi Faughan very pretty shade -from your photo they look like daylilies to me, loads of varieties to choose from- youll be spoilt for choice, as they flower early mid season and late you can have a nice selection all year : )
Thanks! There are lots of daylilies at my local poundland, but when I bought tulips, snowdrops and daffodils previously, the bulbs never made it. I'll check at Home Base, although they don't have much varieties of flower bulbs here.

They don't smell at all. Looking at all the different Lilies, Day-lilies, etc. and still haven't found them.

Hi again just reading your other post where youve mentioned your land being over planted with Conifers, Im beginning to think that its your soil thats your problem Faughan, as Conifers are very acid (not all varieties) Do conifers make soil more acid? - Telegraph
Maybe consider making some raised beds so you can amend and improve your growing soil https://www.google.co.uk/search?biw=...k1.PAZbs3gVbj4 - although initially maybe can be considered costly but long term it will save potential losses of plants which can only in turn save you money

Yes, everything was very dry around the conifers and I had to dig, cut roots with an axe, add soil and plant grass seeds. It took a while until it started to recover. In the end I've to built two raised beds to plant some veggies. I could buy some reclaimed wood, it isn't expensive.

Individual Day lily flowers die in a day. If yours live for longer, its not a hemerocallis.

Day lilies grow from tubers, not bulbs.

This may help you narrow it down a bit.
