Can finally show some off. Cleared the bed so I can start cropping properly. All seed grown this year except the white cactus.

I bought a collection from Sarah Raven, mixed peach shades and a cheapo red one from Wilkos.
Only one of the SR ones has flowered called Labyrinth -it is stunning. A Google image not one of mine!
The other SR all have blind shoots - weird. but I am having trouble with some dodgy compost this year *angry*
The cheapo red is good as well

Dahlia Anemone "Polka" + Buddleia "Buzz" photo bombing
Pity something seems to have had a good nibble on her leaves last night 
Thank goodness her first bloom was left untouched, no prizes for guessing where I'll be after dark tonight with a torch

A couple of mine...they've been in the garden for years. I've been a big dahlia fan since the OH gave me a bright cerise pink one several years ago. Love them!Attached FilesComment

Wow, such lovely blooms Scarlet- do you dig them up every year?
I tend to keep mine in pots as I'm too lazy to properly plant them in the ground, plus i can then plungepop them in the border when my annuals are going over -i convince myself that's my reason"cough" excuse!!!

No I don't like digging! They are left in situ....come Spring you need to do slug patrols or you won't see them ever again. I do loose a few but I add a few most years. Often late on in the season when the bulbs are cheap.

Thelma, a friend bought some Dalias from SR this year....she isn't that happy, they arrived quite late, one of min had started flowering by the time hers had been delivered.Comment
