In need of a rampant rambling rose, any suggestions?

I'm after one to put along the back of my fence eventually have it spreading through the shrubs etc that hopefully keeps the kids out of my garden.

Anyone got any pics of theirs or any recommendations?

I had this one growing up my cherry tree, now both chopped down as the garden was too shady
It grew to the top of the tree within a couple of years. It's very pretty and after the first early summer flush you get the odd few flowers through the rest of the summer.

Albertine is another rambler of the same family, that is strong growing, thorny and pink

I'm trying to get a Kiftsgate over some trees. It's about 3m up so far. Supposed to go up 12m and spread 8m.

The label says that faded blooms should be removed. How?! Silly anyway as I'd lose the hips.

For a white, sweet scented fast grower, Rambling Rector is brilliant. Planted in good well fertilised soil, it will grow 10 feet high and 30 feet along in 3 years in full sun. At least the one I had did, when I lived next door to a church.

This is true. I grow Rambling Rector too, and it's hugely vigorous and a majestic sight in bloom. It does have two downsides, though:
- It only flowers once a year, in June. After that it concentrates on growing;
- I have an annual battle with it to stop it taking over the planet. It's extremely thorny and I never emerge completely unscathed from the skirmishes, however much protection I wear.

If you want the scent of green apples try Rosa rubiginosa (Sweet Briar Rose). The foliage gives it off after rain or when it's humid. My sprinkler set it off this afternoon. 10m each way. Dog rose like flowers. Difficult to escape from!
