How much would you pay for these flowers?

Please could you let me know what you would genuinely expect to pay/ want to pay for the flowers in the pic?



They are not for sale, just pondering. After looking at sites that specialise and sell flowers and yes you can go on how they are seasonal, organic etc. but just wanted some 'real people' input.

They're beautiful, NG but I have no idea what I'd pay for them as I rarely buy flowers unless they're for delivery to someone far away.

I think its hard to say - If I was ordering them online I'd expect to pay more than if I was buying them local.

I'd roughly expect at least 1 proper bloom per £1 plus the frilly bits

Thank you all and no I am not insulted. The pic doesn't do the flowers any favours but at the same time you have proved my internal dilemma.

I don't tend to buy flowers and I know they are a luxury item but would I spend £40-£65 - No! I appreciate the comparisons are more polished and established brands but I have more homework to do. The cheapest bucket of blooms I can find is £35 (60 stems) the pic is of 50 stems.

How would you sell your flowers, NG? By post or face to face? I think there's a big difference in people's expectations with postal flowers. They have to look good and arrive in perfect condition and your reliant on the delivery service to care for them.

The above was £40 ...a gift from my Dad. I expect flowers to have a certain vase life. I would take them back if they didn't last 7 days, do I'd be careful and choose varieties that won't flop overnight.

There is a nursery near me that sells potted plants but during the Autumn and Christmas she does a bomb with Chrysanths...

Blimey, are there really many people willing to pay that much for flowers! Seems terribly extravagant but then again I don't buy flowers as much prefer them in their natural setting

I haven't a clue about the cost of flowers but I showed it to my OH and she reckons that if buying at Morrison's it would cost you about £20.00 possibly a bit more if you were buying it as a made up arrangement from a florist it would be about £30 to £35.0

NG, we Grapes may not be the best people to ask as we're all growers and most of us will have flowers as well as veg, even it they're for the bees.
The people I know who buy flowers are the ones who don't garden and have full time jobs - and the money that goes with that to spend!

I think Rary's OH is spot on, around £20 in a supermarket and £35 ish in a florist (cellophane wrapped, waterbag and with a feed sachet)

Though a supermarket is unlikely to have such a good variety of flowers or foliage.

I love the aquilegia by the way, I've always found the yellow ones are especially good as cut flowers because they last for ages
