  • Rooting cuttings from pinks

All the instructions online say you should do this with a non-flowering shoot, but is there any chance it could work with a stem that has flowered?

Are they difficult to grow from cuttings generally?

    Thanks.

They are not at all difficult to grow from cuttings. Iv'e always took side shoots and stuck them in the ground and watered well. They take almost 100 per cent. And of course with cuttings you are guaranteed the same flower colour as the parent plant. I've never used a flowering shoot but try it - youv'e nothing to lose though I suspect a flowering shoot is battling on two fronts to survive - it's both trying to root and trying to flower.
