Lobelia question.

I've a veg raised bed with leeks in it. The bed is also full of lobelia. Which hasn't yet flowered.
It's seeded from last years hanging baskets I dug into the soil. Pretty sure the answers no but does anyone know if I could over winter the plants. Or indeed has any one done so. It's worth asking before I have to ditch them all. I do realise it's classed as an annual.

If you need to move them, pot them up and see what happens. If these have selfseeded, maybe these will too.

I have never tried to keep any,BUT,1 year one appeared and flowered,only small,so i expect it was the odd 1 or 2 seeds,as to get the larger bushes,you need several in a clump,the ones i have now are still in full swing,so will leave them until next year and see what comes up.

If there is lots and you're not otherwise using the soil, I would leave them there as green manure to protect the surface and then decide in the spring if they are worth transplanting of digging in for the new season.
