Betulia help

Hi all,

I have a couple of Betulias which have been sat on my doorstep throughout summer and autumn.
I have just brought them through to the back garden during a tidy up, and a couple of them are still in flower.

Is there any advice/tips on keeping these going throughout winter for next year?

Never heard of Betulia but if its a sort of begonia they're probably better off kept under cover overwinter.
It would help if we knew where you live as winter weather varies greatly across the UK and Europe.

They are fibrous rooted begonias. Don't let them get cold. They can be propagated from tip or leaf cuttings and should root in about 5 weeks at 20-22C. They have a tolerance to mildew which is what kills most of the begonias. I would keep them in the house for the winter, trim them a bit and give them good light but not direct sunlight and water carefully.

I have just downsized the pots, so will try and get them in as soon as I get home. I have a couple of deep windowsills which do not get direct sun, so I'll pop them there and see how they get on.
