Suggestions please

This thing Mr butter wouldn't melt!

Has ripped the lining out of my hanging ( well more sitting ) basket!


So next time I water (tomorrow) or it rains all the compost is going to get washed out.

I'm having trouble coming up with a solution. Ideas anyone?

The basket is starting to flower and look quite good ( at the moment )

Could you weave/thread bands of plastic (maybe fleece or weed suppressant membrane ?) in and out of the metalwork...then tuck moss in between the plastic and metal to hide the plastic?

Plant some more plants through the wire?

gently shove pieces of card board down the sides to hold the soil in place, so that it doesn't fall out, then add your chosen linings i.e weed membrane as nicos suggested, or even a black bin liner perhaps.

Apart from the mishap , basket looks great, as does butter would not melt

My MiL uses tights over the outside of hers....obviously trimmed afterwards

You could always try feeding him that might save your baskets

On the bright side he didn’t chew your plants,if there’s nothing to chew will he chew your plants,have you got some chew toys placed strategically around the beds? Your nasturtium has big leaves for a small container,looking at the design of the basket,to a dog it does look like something to unwrap & there might be food in there.

I'd probably stick it in a compost bag, trim and tuck, then poke holes for drainage. Won't look great, but the plants will soon cover it, and I think it's the option that's going to give you least compost loss.

Or tights. I love the tights idea.

They both know the basket is out of bounds, because we had a very long chat about it when it got put back there for the summer . You think the nasturtium is big wait till the lupin catches up!!! ( I know, I'm not right in the head ! )
Yeah they have a few toys. The toy basket
This is the pile of toys waiting to be sown up again ( most of them were sown up last week)
And they have an outside toy box.

They can destroy as many toys as they like, I don't care. They have never chewed any furniture or anything they shouldn't in the house

There's just the occasional unappreciated chewing of things outside. But none of its the end of the world. The plants aren't necessarily safe

Some of those are so funny/cringe making!

OH's parents had a huuuge deerhound which shredded a really valuable chaise longue once....well, he implied he had absolutely nothing to do with it...which was why he tried to hide under a chair if you pointed at the piece of furniture...even years after it had been repaired!
