They are Aqueliga or colombine. They look like some of the long spur hybrids there others known as Grannies Bonnets and the flowers tend to hang down.Gardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. Lou Erickson, critic and poet

I second roitelet, definitely aqualegia/columbine.
You can sow seeds now and you will have flowers next year, you can also save seed from your current plant when seeds dry after flowering, or let it disperse seed itself and you will have some more seedlings come upLast edited by chillithyme; 02-06-2018, 07:32 AM.

I've never sown/planted any here, but they pop up all over my garden, in several pretty colours. The only one I dig out is a washed out, pale, dirty pink - luckily got none of those this year, just purple, mid pink and white They are perennial so you can move them around if they grow in the 'wrong' place, as well.
