    • My Flower is a ?Shasta Daisy. Its tall, leggy and straggly but it reminds me of my grandfather who used to grow them on his allotment. For the record, he wasn't tall, leggy or straggly - but he was a character and he inspired my gardening addiction.

      • My flower of the day is a lily, though don't know if it counts as my wife got to it before I had a chance to get a photo, and she cut the centre out when I have told her ad often to pull it out, some day she will listen to me, you will know when that is, it will be the day you see a blue moon in the sky

                • Yes please Rary! My orange day lily loves my clay soil and forms good clumps that suppress the ground elder.

I’m hoping to do cuttings from some of my dahlia tubers in the Spring so we could do a swap

Very kind of you Scarlet but may have to pass on getting an other dahlia as I am waiting for a delivery of 80 dahlia plants in the next couple of days, and next year I want a ban on a certain mod showing me bargain buys
even if I don't want a swap I will send you a part of that day lily

                        • Why do I always get the blame? I was only trying to help - and its only 50 dahlias, not 80, so stop panicking, rary - just worry about the 400 gladioli.
