  • Beautiful late summer flowering plant that bees love. Commonly called the ‘obedient plant’. Bought this plant a couple of years ago in the Pound shop and it has flourished. It spreads by producing rhizomes underground. Obedient plants got this common name because stems can be bent to stay in place, not for the plant’s habit in the garden.

      • Nice plant Roitelet, - I’ve never had Penstemons - do bees like them?

          • My Flower is a pink Japanese Anenome - one of my favourites.
Its taken a few years for them to grow into a big clump but its been worth the wait. Tall, stately, brightening up a shady spot, flowering for weeks if not months, bee friendly and trouble free.

              • Thx Roitelet.

Veggie - Japanese Anemone is on my next year’s list. I keep meaning to buy this plant. I think the pastel pink one is stunning but I can remember as a child a think clump of them at home but they were white. I'll probably buy both white and pink.

They love them and they are easy to grow - good time for taking cutting now for next year so keep an eye out in neighbours gardens!

                    Today's Flower is Thalictrum Delavayii
I particularly like the mauve, airy flowers. I used to have a nice double one of this, but it hasn’t appeared this year. P

Well that me out of the frame then
If I stayed closer to VC I could have asked her to buy it for me
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
