I really can’t remember the name of this one but it’s my flower for today.

Another one on holidays!! Are you with Cheops and rary?
If you want to post a holiday flower please do. Otherwise, it'll be just Roitelet and me talking to each other.
My Flower is Verbena Bonariensis. Love this - as do the goldfinches who come for the seeds in winter. Flocks of them, 20-30 at a time, hanging from the seedheads which are so close I can watch them from the kitchen window.

Another holiday flower.
This lovely purple one is very petunia like - and is called Ruellia.
There is a story that a Sultan was banished and had to go on a long journey. He was worried that he wouldn't find his way home so he sprinkled Ruellia seeds all the way to mark his path. Sadly he never returned to his country, but his grand daughter eventually found the path of purple Ruellia and could return.
Nice story and nice flower!

It's just lovely to hang up the shears, secateurs, watering can and hoe to get away to see other flowers still growing.
