    • The leaves don’t look right for Laurel Christie. Is it possibly a Fatsia or Castor oil plant? Pretty though!

              Well spotted, roitelet. I'd say Fatsia japonica.
              Funny how both the plants have "japonica - from Japan" in their names .

                          • Showing this here as not sure where it would fit in. Some hawthorn flowering this week in a hedgerow near by. Never seen it flowering this time of year before. There is one red berry in the picture.

                              I’m cheating today as it’s cold and wet and I was working last night so I’m staying inside, so here’s some cut flowers- some roses and alstroemeria my friend brought me round (to cheer me up been a bad couple of months!)
