    • Too wet and soggy to go flower hunting so here is a potted Pansy.

        • As promised - something new!

Yesterday I spotted this bedraggled camellia amongst the dead leaves but it was too dark to look for new flowers..................

Today, I looked up and was delighted to see so many flowers above my head. This camellia usually manages a flower in December and its one of the highlights of my floral calendar - the start of 3 months of camellia flowers.

          • Nothing new today - just some Erigeron/Spanish daisies/Mexican fleabane that you haven't seen for a few months.

            • Aren't these pretty and summery? Gerbera?

Bit of a cheat really as I bought them for 30p yellowstickered on Sunday. However, there is a camellia in the vase from the front garden.

              • Viburnum Burkwoodii - (i think) is the only open flower for me at the moment until the first spring bulbs emerge. It takes me by surprise each year when it starts flowering in winter.

                    • I think it's a mallow, it self seeded anyway, in with the squash earlier on. The dead leaves are chrysanths, all finished now.

                      • I spotted these flowers yesterday,. Viburnum bodnantense (it’s either Dawn or Charles) planted in a shady spot next to gooseberries & a big shrub on the left that needs pruning soon,I could remove that whole shrub,I don’t even know what it is but leaf miners like it,no I like it again now,I’ll just prune it a lot

                        • Blame the appalling weather for my absence form this thread - or blame the absence of new flowers in the garden.

Here are some rosebuds I spotted today against a dark sky. Rain was about 5 minutes away!
