Lily moving and ID

I have this lily growing unloved under a hawthorn tree in a shady spot by the stone wall which i only really see when going to the compost heap. It's in totally the wrong place so I'm thinking of moving it. Does anyone know whether it will do better in full sun or partial shade? Also I'm thinking of leaving it until it finishes flowering and dies back then digging it up and moving it this autumn.
If anyone has any advice about doing anything different please let me know and if anyone recognises it and can name it that'd be a bonus thanks.

Its a Hemerocallis/Day lily. Each flower lives for only a day and another opens to take its place.
I'd wait until it dies back completely before moving it but they're toughies and cope with all sorts of abuse - they do here anyway.
Its also edible which is a bonus!

You can also divide them if it's big enough - I've had to use a saw to do it with really over crowded ones though

Thanks for the info, sounds like if I move em I could divide them up and get a couple of clumps. I might try one in a tricky patch under a leylandii with it being quite dry and shady.

They are tough and will grow a bit in shade, but they do also need a fair bit of sun in order to flower well. I've got one in quite a shady spot under a pear tree and usually only get 3 or 4 flowers a year on it.
